The Director of Ryan White Services will supervise the program and provide effective counseling and care management services.


Summary of Duties Performed

  • Manages $1,180,563 in federal grant funds through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS program as well as the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program
  • Provides oversight of all elements of the Ryan White and HOPWA programs to assure compliance with all federal, state, legislative and contractual obligations
  • Oversees Ryan White Case Management Supervisor to ensure effective program delivery of the Ryan White Part B and HOPWA program and provides direct supervision to the Part C Medical Case Management staff
  • Serves as the lead point of contact for state and federal audits/site visits and participates in the preparation for program appraisals performed by federal and state regulatory agencies
  • Aids in the preparation of  all grant related applications and provides assistance with other grant proposals as needed
  • Participates in the development and management of the Ryan White and HOPWA budget
  • Ensures necessary data tracking mechanisms are utilized for monitoring program outcomes and deliverables; and completes monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports per funder requirements
  • Coordinates agreements with healthcare providers to provide services to HIV/AIDS patients not offered onsite
  • Develops and tracks quality improvement projects utilizing the Plan-Do-Study-Act model for clinical and administrative elements of the Ryan White Program
  • Represents the agency at state and federal required meetings/conferences and regularly communicates with federal project officer and state contract managers to ensure program expectations are met
  • Develops and implements procedures to ensure client satisfaction is being measured regularly and  strategies for responding to and resolving client grievances are effective
  • Monitors the implementation of procedure and protocol manuals for program staff to ensure effective delivery of care services as well as generate/update policies and procedures as needed
  • Implements HIV/AIDS  standards of care into the primary care setting
  • Provides effective counseling and care management services as needed
  • Contributes to a large network research project and serves as primary point of contact for research studies
  •  Direct and manage the Ryan White program.

  • Ensure the collection of statistical and compliance data.
  • Ensure compliance with program regulations and requirements
  • Establish and maintain collaborative arrangements with other agencies serving People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWH).
  • Provide leadership in completing the Ryan White Service Report (RSR) and other required reporting. Timely submission of reports is critical.
  • Ensure CQI is maintained for the Ryan White program utilizing performance improvement tools, i.e. PDSA cycle, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
  • Serve as the liaison to the Care Consortium.
  • Supervise case managers.
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work or Counseling, preferred. Bachelor's degree in Social Work/Health Science with a minimum of 5 years work of experiences, including Ryan White service delivery. Supervisory/leadership skills a must.
